2025 Saturday Series Tournaments

Elevate your golfing experience this season with the Copake Country Club Saturday Series an exclusive, member-only tournament series designed to challenge your skills and foster camaraderie among fellow golf enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or a newer player looking to test your abilities, this series offers exciting opportunities for golfers of all levels to compete, improve, and enjoy the game on your home course.

Points earned throughout the season in Monthly Medal and Major events will be used to determine a 36-player championship field, divided into two brackets: A Flight and B Flight, each featuring 18 players. The championship will begin with 18 holes of stroke play to determine the top two players from each bracket. Those players will advance to a 9-hole stroke play final to compete for the grand prizes. The winner of the A Flight final will receive a free membership for the 2026 season, while the B Flight winner will earn free entry into all club events in 2026.

May 17th, 2025 - The Masters 16 Hole Championship (Completed)

Each player will play their own ball in stroke play format with full handicap. During play, you are allowed to omit two holes from your final score. There is a strategy that comes into play. You must declare the hole you are omitting before teeing off on the next hole and only one of your two holes may be a par five. Handicaps will be based per hole so try not to omit holes you stroke on and try not to use them too early in the round.

A blind draw, A/B Player on each team, beforehand will decide who is your partner, each team must use at least six drives from each player. All players tee off, partners then decide which ball to play for the second shot. The player whose ball is not used off the tee plays the second shot. Players continue to alternate from there until the ball has been holed. The team combined handicap will be 80% of the A player, 20% of the B player.

June 21st, 2025 - Plant The Flag (Completed)

The flag tournament is returning for the 2025 season. Each player will start with the par for the course per the associated tee box played, plus any allocated stokes given for their handicap. That number will give the total strokes allowed for the event. For example, a golfer playing from the back tees with a par of 72 and a handicap of 5 will have a total of 77 strokes. Once their 77th stroke is taken a flag will be planted where the ball comes to rest. The flag that makes it farthest is the champion for the event.
